As mentioned in Part one of this series, learning couponing terminology is a key essential to elevating your coupon game. Once you memorized the basics of our couponing terminology. It’s now time to dive into part two of this series; Policies, restrictions, and limits
Before we continue onto part 2 of this series, It’s important to note that every region and every area is different when it comes to policies, limits, and restrictions to couponing. As a Hawaii resident, I am more familiar with the policies we have here.
WHAT YOUR STATE ALLOWS:
Depending on where you live, tax may be calculated at POST-Coupon price. But other areas calculated tax at PRE-coupon price. Make sure you account for this when calculating your total for purchases.
WHAT YOUR STORE ALLOWS:
DO ALL STORES ACCEPT COUPON? The answer is NO!! If you are unsure whether or not a store accepts coupons, you can double check by simply calling the store or searching up their coupon policy on google. It’s important to know the store's coupon policy, before heading in-store.
WHAT THE COUPON ALLOWS:
Looking at a physical paper coupon, can be quite confusing! Since most coupons don’t always state things in a clear way. The example that I would be using is an online printable that can found at Coupons.com

First Section (Noted in RED BOX): Expiration Date; this lets you know how long the coupon is good till
Second Section (Noted in BLUE BOX): The limit per purchase; for example, this coupon states “Limit one coupon per purchase of products and quantities stated.” And this coupon is valued at $2/2. Meaning when you purchase 2 of those items, only 1 coupon can be attached to those 2 items
Third Section (Noted in PURPLE BOX): The limit per transaction or day; for example, this coupon states “Limit of 2 identical coupons per household per day.” This means you are only allowed to use 2 of these coupons per day.
