Now that you’ve finished reading part one and two of my beginners guide to couponing 101, you’re almost ready to start couponing! Here is some final advice to help you become an excellent couponer.
START SMALL
You don’t need to start off by making big purchases, to be a couponer. Buy items you actually want to get for FREE, CHEAP, or that YOU WILL USE.
USE DIGITAL, PRINTABLE, OR PAPER COUPONS
When starting to coupon, don’t be discouraged when you don’t have tons of coupons and a big coupon binder. You can find many digital coupons on STORE APPS. Or you can also print coupons, off of COUPON DATABASES.
CHECK YOUR WEEKLY ADS
LOOK FOR SALES YOU REGULARLY SHOP AT. Combining sales and coupons, will help you get the BEST DEALS.
CHECK SOCIAL MEDIA
Use your social media platform; such as instagram, tiktok, youtube, facebook, etc. To help find other couponers breakdown on their transaction and REPLICATE THEM.
AIM TO SAVE 40% - 50%
For your first few attempts in couponing, aim to save at least 40% - 50%. As a beginner, it will take time for you to get the grasp of things. But don't get discouraged, because once you get the hang of it, you can strive to save more
IT’S OKAY TO VOID A TRANSACTION
As a beginner, if your transaction doesn't go the way you planned. It’s okay, to kindly ask the cashier to void your transaction. Don’t be afraid to do so, as the point of couponing is to save money. Find out where things went wrong and try again later.
GO EASY ON YOURSELF
Couponing can be really challenging, but it takes time for you to get the hang of it. Don’t beat yourself up if you make any mistakes or miscalculations. It will be all worth it in the future!
